Well, there you have it. A very strong presentation and concept. There have been many translations of this idea: innovators, early adopters, and forward-thinkers but they all seem to point in the same direction - change. As Ghandi said “be the change you want to see in the world.” He probably didn’t have technology in mind, but he certainly was a redefiner of his time.
This is a concept that may be understood by most, but misunderstood by many. I was just having a conversation the other day with a friend of mine who is the CEO of a major corporation about change and innovation in the workplace. He discussed his motivation to always search for ways to improve and to be open to changes that would increase efficiency of the company as well as the positive culture of the organization. Simply put, he gets it. As a redefiner in his industry he has been able to not only further his own career, but inspire those around him due to his zest for success and knowledge.
So, any way you say it: innovator, early adopter, forward-thinker, or redefiner, this idea has become the necessary ingredient for success.
